Hamble Lifeboat has been awarded a £3,000 grant via the Tesco Bags of Help campaign. Voting (via the blue tokens) was held at the following local Tesco Stores:

Hamble Lifeboat would like to thank everyone for their votes and for making this campaign an overwhelming success.
We would also like to thank Tesco for the chance to be awarded this funding via their local community grant scheme.
We will use the money to carry out urgent repairs to the slipway at the front of the Lifeboat station. This slipway is used all year round by local dingy sailors, kayakers and river users.
We aim to ensure the slipway remains safe and usable for the community. The slipway also serves to recover or launch our lifeboat prior to or on completion of annual service or routine maintenance.
