In September 2018 we hit a milestone, our motto is ‘Saving Lives Since 1968’ we reach our 50th year of service. The 8th of September we will be opening our doors to the public and invite all persons ever associated with the Lifeboat in Hamble to attend and raise a toast to our past 50 years and to the next 50 years.
Tours of the station will be scheduled for those who have not toured our station which was completed mid-2017 and housing the Harry Childs currently undergoing a refit. This is a fantastic opportunity for people to reconnect and see how far technology has come since Hamble Rescue first launched in a Dory back in 1968.
Weather permitting we will have a rescue demonstration in front of the station and refreshments available during the event. Confirmation of timings will be outlined closer to the event.
Invites will be sent to past donators, previous crew and the community. We look at this as an opportunity to re-engage with people and bring in the next generation of Lifeboat crew and supporters.
